In The Wake Of Poseidon is the second album by King Crimson. It was released in 1970 by Island Records in the United Kingdom. It was released by Atlantic Records in the United States and on Vertigo Records in New Zealand. Re-releases were released on Polydor, E.G., Virgin, and Discipline Global Mobile. Like their previous album, In The Court Of The Crimson King, the album cover is artwork with no title. This particular artwork is work of Tammo De Jongh, done in 1967. It is called The 12 Archetypes or The 12 Faces Of Humankind.
